I've been shooting film since I was fourteen, and though the materials, mood, and subject matter of my work has continually shifted over the past 10+ years, I have always connected to this way of making images. In the past few years, photographing has served as a meditative process of collecting the beautiful moments in my everyday existence. Most often, they are moments of cooking &/or dining with dear ones, or compositions of form and color. When I photograph, I am wholly absorbed in the task - I feel deeply rooted and at home. Many of these were captured with my trusty Pentax K100 on 35mm film, or my medium format Mamiya C33.
